In addition to celebrating the major Jewish holidays, the JCS provides holiday celebrations for families and members, which include activities for children and adults.
The following celebrations are usually held at the JCC of greater Ann Arbor:
Hanukkah – we escape the cold weather celebrating indoors with bounce houses, candle-making and a Hanukkah Bazaar.
Tu B’shevat – we celebrate the New Year of the Trees with an environmentally-focused event. Previous events included celebrations at the Ann Arbor Matthaei Botanical Gardens, a visit to the Ann Arbor Reptile Zoo and even a lecture about bats!
Purim – we dress in costume and celebrate with fun activities for the whole family. You don’t to miss the famous JCS Purim Spiel..
