The JCS has established a variety of programs for adults and families. All are welcome to attend.
First Friday Shabbats
On the first Friday of each month, the JCS holds a Kabbalat Shabbat service in the Jewish Community Center of Ann Arbor. Learn more about this accessible and family-friendly Shabbat here.
JCS Monthly Chavurah
Members of the JCS Monthly Chavurah meet for a meal once a month. This adults-only group may meet on a Sunday for brunch or lunch or on a Friday evening for Shabbat dinner. The Sunday brunch gatherings are typical for months with shorter daylight hours. The meal may take the form of a potluck in a member’s home or a meal in a restaurant. Adult Education Series
Occasional seminars from JCS members and experts in the community are presented after dinner on First Friday Shabbat celebrations. Please see the JCS Calendar for upcoming seminar dates.
Social Action
JCS members work to change and better the world we live in through the process of tikkun olam. Find out how you can get involved with Get Out the Vote campaigns, protest attendance, and other projects here.
